@everready800 No one could go around saying that Ukraine was fascist before the invasion. Ukraine was slightly better than Russia in most humanitarian metrics. In other words, Russia is closer to fascism than Ukraine. If you go by their politics, Ukraine is much further away than Russia from fascism.

@thomaslacornette1282 Look at what Ukraine did that Russia didn't do. For one, they minded their own business. And two, they tried being friendly and improving. The citizens protested and demonstrated for their democracy. But most importantly, they just didn't do anything to be attacked by Russia.

@thomaslacornette1282 that's right. Go look at surveys about what Crimeans felt was their motherland. It was Ukraine by 70-90% in two different surveys before the Russian invasion. Meaning they didn't feel nationally Russian. These were not disputed territories. These were territories Russia 100% agreed, 2-3 times, were Ukrainian. In Budapest and in their treaty of friendship. I don't understand how you can justify the behavior of Russia here.

@thomaslacornette1282 Go look at the history. that minority didn't feel Russia. Look up any survey. Not even Crimeans felt Russian. They weren't pro a foreign country. Both sides clashed over opinions of how their country should be. A small group of extremist, like terrorists, brought guns into it. And let themselves be organized by a foreign power. That wasn't the majority of even the pro Russian side.

@thomaslacornette1282 how can you ask why you're the bad guy and Ukraine isn't when you admit you want reconquer a people. Russia recognized, multiple times, the borders of Ukraine. And now you're pretending it's questionable. You're using things from the 19th century to justify Russia doing this now.
