@laikon7447 he might be the cause. Well him and similar people. Ukraine and Georgia are trying to avoid, with some success, being like Russia. Putin is part of the cause. And he's been the driver of it for a long time.

@ElSquadRider ignoring politics is part of the problem that leads to dictators. What will lead to war is letting people like that rise. And what people need is awareness of at least the major issues, and to participate.

@АлександрДухин-р3ц it did and does. And the people didn't vote because you can't hold an election with foreign invaders occupying and displacing people, during an invasion. Those lands weren't even fully controlled by those militants who don't represent the people. And Russia claimed two non separatist extra areas.

@АлександрДухин-р3ц a gun to your head isn't a formality. You don't have the opinion of the people. The militants didn't ask for it. Russia didn't ask for it. Russia doesn't hold fair or free elections in its own countries. You ask for these things before you take over, and overthrow the government. Because the elected government is what represents people.

@lindaetheridge-stroud1502 blah blah blah. These countries are refusing one of Russia's major resources. That the US doesn't need. You talk about material stuff while the country slides towards a dictatorship. Your fellows are sent to die. And the government oppress opposition and protests.
