  1. ​ @FrOsTIIDeAtH  the simple solution is that they're different people and you're jumbling them up in your mind. Though it's entirely possible to lose and regain hope. And possible it's used as a phrase. And possible it's momentary expression of their feelings. But the most likely is as I said, that they are millions of people and each one is a different one, and you're creating a blob in your mind instead of treating them as individuals.
