Technically republicans can be broken down into groups too, with overlaps: right libertarians, white christians and non or less religious cultural conservatives, warhawks(neocons, pro military ect), and business leaders. But they've managed to make all those groups believe that their set of policies is how they achieve their goals. They are much more unified.
