@MrJoker830 what a non issue and a false dichotomy. Especially with sanctions. Your position is you want to end all aid everywhere. And let democracies fall. It's not Ukraine that stops the U.S from spending money on itself.

@MrJoker830 more of a democracy than Russia. And a sovereign country enough not to be invaded by another. That's how you nurture democracy. Whatever issues you think they have, and whatever issues they have, don't justify this. What makes you think that they aren't a democracy? What's your case for it. Why did you suddenly switch your position from "we should spend money in ourselves" to Ukraine wasn't a democracy. What was coming? That Russia had to react. No one had any reason to care about Russia. It's Russia that's desperate for relevance.

@MrJoker830 foreign aid has nothing to do with why U.S doesn't help its own people. Rich people/companies and republicans not wanting higher taxes is the reason. Maybe you'd have a point if we didn't have an obstructionist party. But of course it's that desire to not help anyone that translate into those same people not wanting to help people in this country.

@maestrozilla the U.S doesn't use either term. And definitely not fatherland. U.S uses homeland and heartland. As oppose to referring to itself, the U.S refers to other places as people tend to come there and Americans don't tend to leave in large numbers. It refers to people's home countries or mother countries or motherlands. But not to itself as a motherland. Fatherland is only use if other countries use it, or something that can be translated as it.

@0326Vet it's Russia's fault. Russia is killing people. Not NATO. People are using abuser logic and child logic here. "I hit you because you made me angry". This isn't the first Russian invasion/land grab. If Russia stopped doing this to it's neighbors or installing puppets, people wouldn't want to join NATO out of fear of Russian invasions.
