  1. I don't think it's as nefarious as some people might it out to be. Even non profits hire people who aren't nonprofit. It's not all volunteers. They pay people for the logistics and management ect. I remember this video about ricky gervais that people were smug about when he yells at some street person from a charity. When it is exactly that street level person that is probably a volunteer.
