...I think that they are an example of how conspiracies gain traction - in a one family household. They likely bought the cameras because they felt that it would tell them when a burgler tried to take from them. This was the only point of view behind the buying of the camera. Not: watching animals running around, not checking for whos at the door, not seeing if the weather is fine without openig the door, or wasting time, just to stop burglers. This led to only expecting a burgler when they got a notice of the video feed. So when nice neighbor came to their door, he was a burgler. Thanks camera, now lets show him whos boss. Goes outside and in a nation of 250 million cars, the conspiracy minded saw the <not> perpertrator as soon as the saw "any" car. Feeds their sense of "I gotcha". Needs fulfilled. We know that they were wrong, but its an example of how some act because of the thoughts that lead them to do stupid things. I am sure that they were many times wondering when they would catch a criminal with the camera. Its the cameras only purpose. Its a snapshot of how folks that wind up doing stupid things act. They follow the trail of their internal thoughts without consideration of optional reasons. So they are only black, or white. A one sided process that leads to stupid actions. In larger groups we see some of the same.......amazing and frightning.
