Wait a minute. In the previous case he was cleared of rape but convicted of sex assault. He said that he never met her, but a photo showed them together and him saying that she reminded her of his ex wife. He the defamed her by saying she was lying about him being with her - a now factual situation - and what the 83 million dollar case was about. I understand that in some jurisdictions what he did would be rape, but not in this case. Didn't the judge say that it was substantially rape but couldn't go there?

In addition to my previous post, the defamation was also about all of the things that trump posted on his social platform denying that he even knew her. Calling it a hoax even though he lost the previous case. IMHO, I'm a NY'r and knew about trump before even his apprentice tv show. It had been shown that he WILL NOT SAY HE LOST anything. Jan 6th and him holding the highest seat in givt proves that. He lost a civil rights case back in the 70s and if asked he would say he won that case. He had to reorganize his business and pay a fine, but to him he didn't lose. 83 million may be high, but his mouth got him there. If he had just taken it in the chin and not blab about him not knowing her, the 5 would have been it. He defamed her by making it seem that it was all made up including the part where his fingers went inside someone he never met
