Grifter: Someone that cons folks into believing something that isnt true. Al Sharpton is NOT a grifter. I dont understand how anybody can think he wasn't exposing some of the stories that didn't get enough media attention as grifting. He didn't make anything up. He got noticed because the everyday media didnt give attention to some important - in the urban community - things so different issues could be solved. Grifting means that you are selling snake oil or as of some of todays conservatives, making it seem you care about conservative issues just because you know you can get an audience that way. Sharpton did none of these things, he only spoke about problems that actually happened. Sharpton is not a grifter and I remember him in that jumpsuit as a brooklynite.
