Concerning just Mexico. Its reasonable to say that a lot of the tariffs on Mexico will be on American products anyway. Mexico has built an manufacturing base for American cars and car parts. Other stuff also. American companies do it so the price will be cheaper by investing in factories in Mexico. If a plant were to shut down that decision would come from American companies not a Mexican one. So wheres the sense.

@ Yes. And we arent even considering all of the raw materials that America imports. China has said that they will cut back on exporting the raw materials that the semiconductor industry needs to make what ever percentage of chips that America still makes after laughing at Taiwan for thinking that they should just make chips and not design them. So now the wanted increase in the chip making capacity in America will be held back by not having enough supply of the materials that chip-makers need. Why? because Djtrupm threatened them with less sales in America of jeans, gadgets and other minor stuff that is a minor situation on the big scale. LOL'n but only because of the ridiculousness of the short shortsightedness that doing this stuff is about.

...and THATS why there is a trade imbalance. In this context, a consuming country will always have a trade imbalance. Its almost saying that a Trade imbalance means that the importing country is richer than the manufacturing country. In this case, a trade imbalance is the proper thing as we can buy more than we make. Things that make you go Hmmmmmm.

@silkeotd7194 Im pro making sense. I hate that Trump has told the entire population on earth that tariffs are paid by the exporting country like China. This is wrong. Its paid by the importing country This says that he himself doesn't know what its really so acting on a misunderstanding. Conversations with Trump have come out with EU leaders and they have all said that he is sometimes stupid and a moron,. Im a US citizen and I want to defend how another country makes it seem like the American leader is such a thing. In defense I want to say that .......
