  1. paraphrasing a dot executive said that there are 17 thousand critical failure bridges in America. Bridges where one point of failure can bring down the whole thing. Shouldn't there now be a review of these bridges to bring focus and preventative measures to prevent another critical event? Dolphins - concrete barriers - could have stopped this destruction. How many more bridges need this protective measure.
