  1. "Its a cult of personality". Says it all and explains why people in a democracy *intentions*, can still be made to see what isnt there. Cultists, have a way of explaining away every conceivable flaw, mismanagement of morality, or breaks in law to support their cult leader. Its not about rationality. Its about attaching their trust to someone that doesn't deserve it. Folks like Trump is always on the lookout for those type of folks. He calls it loyalty.
