  1. One of the clearest way that situation is handled is when one broadcaster said he was told that they first cut carefully then recalculate because now there is new math to consider. Changes with each removal of bridge.

  2. ​ @Robert08010 yeah. Some years ago a tree being cut up - 80 ft orr so - as it had fallen, stood up when the branches at it's top were cut off. I saw it realtime. Totally unexpected situation.

  3. Jeffoffstoff, if you look again I believe that those dolphins were for the telecommunication towers that are parallel to the bridge. Likely why they were so small. Comm towers had bumpers/concrete barriers but the bridge didnt. Priorities in 1970 I guess.
