Rising sea level and weather extremes are making investors and governments reassess their support for fossil fuels. Banks are refusing mortgages on coastal properties. Insurance companies are re evaluating the risk from climate change. It is time for Climate Action. We have a corona virus crisis and a climate crisis. We need to address both. Both will cause long term damage to people, states, the country and the planet.

  2. Bad deal for Berkshire. Fossil fuels are a bad investment for people and the planet. Buffett is typical of OLDER investors still looking at what worked in the past and not really looking to the impact of the climate crisis on the future. Financial institutions, banks, pension funds, governments, universities and insurance companies are all divesting from fossil fuels. Dominion has started divesting. Buffett bought an asset that is losing value. Younger asset managers want nothing to do with fossil fuels and would not make that mistake.
