  2. At anytime after Trump imposes tariffs on China there is a question as to will China retaliate by shutting down Tesla's factory in China. Elon / Tesla and Trump are tied together for better or worse. China will do something to fight back. Any Elon business in China is at risk. This is 60% of Tesla's sales volume and profits that could go away. The Chinese government could stop any sales of batteries to Tesla from CATL or Chips from TSMC. This is a huge risk. Any company that is invested in China or has their supply chain in China is at risk. There is no rule of law in China. The law is what the CCP wants. Can individual companies compete with deep pockets government supported corporations.
