  3. Until every executive in the company drives an electric vehicle daily they will not truly understand the product, its problems and its opportunities. Ford needs to have a fleet of competitors vehicles that its executives can try and compare their offerings to the competition. Every part of the market that they fail to compete in will mean lower sales and lower market share for Ford. Farley's comment that we know trucks sounds like he has given up on the rest of the market and raised the white flag.

  5. It would be nice if the tire was a little wider than the lip of the rim. Seems like Tesla or Munro could talk to the wheel manufacturers and have them help make curbing a rim less of a problem.

  6. Toyota is a day late and a dollar short. All electric BEV sales are growing exponentially. ICE vehicles sales are already starting to decline. Every electric vehicle sold is one less petrol or diesel vehicle.

  10. The F150, Silverado, RAM and CYBRTRK are all too big. Pickups from the 1990s were a much better size. This truck will sell but it would sell better as a new technology BEV.

  12. The government of Japan has been pushing hydrogen so the auto makers are trying to comply. Toyota and Honda are sleep walking into the future. They are looking to the past and projecting it forward. EV adoption is accelerating every year. Exponential not linear. The only limiting factor is batteries. The number of electric vehicles and types of vehicles and trucks is growing. Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs and amazing technology. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. PHEVs still have a gasoline engine polluting the environment. Toyota and Honda will be late to the party. It will cost them market share, market value and future customers. There is a Climate Crisis. Young people will not buy petrol and diesel vehicles that add to the Climate Crisis. Toyota needs to learn a lesson from Nokia or Kodak. They will continue to lose market share until they do or they will go bankrupt. They are starting at the top but there is a long way down.

  14. Wall Street only looks short term (quarterly) where great companies look long term. Great companies are making 10 year plans. The execution in any one quarter can be impacted by timing of investment and expansion decisions.

  17. New trucks are just too big for the average person that buys them. I like the size of the trucks from the 1990's. They were more practical for the average person. Parking one of these big monsters takes up too much space and uses too much fuel. It is great if you haul a trailer or actually use it for work, on a ranch or farm but most people do not use them that way.

  19. Being over weight is considered "normal" these days. It may be normal but it is not healthy. "Average" weight and size is driving car buyers to larger vehicles. A BIG reason why SUVs and pickup trucks are so popular.

  20. Many auto makers have rear cross vehicle alerts when backing up. I wish TESLA has cross traffic alerts when in reverse. Backing up is always has less visibility for the driver and causes accidents

  21. Most people and Wall Street are very short sighted. Wall Street looks out one quarter. Elon Musk makes 10 year plans so one quarter is just a blip. People try to buy the cheapest product without looking at the long term savings from the higher priced product. People don't insulate their homes or add solar energy or buy an energy efficient furnace or appliance because they want the bargain at the cheapest price. This is a mistake. The long term benefits of these will save you money many times over the premium you spent. You can be poor for the rest of your life by buying the cheapest product.

  28. It is a waste of time and money building or buying a hybrid. Ford should have gone all electric. An all electric Maverick would have huge sales. The new large trucks from Ford, GM or Ram are too huge for most people. One reason for the Rivian popularity is that it is all electric and a more reasonable size for most people.

  34. Young people in cities are moving away from car ownership and are using bicycles, mass transit or Uber and Lyft. Bicycles, ebikes, electric cargo bicycles, robo taxis and escooters are great options for last mile, short distance travel. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles by providing SAFE, PROTECTED BIKE LANES and trails. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Bicycles are healthy exercise and fossil fuels free transportation. Electric bicycles are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Ride to work, ride to school or ride for fun. Children should be able to ride a bicycle to school without having to dodge cars and trucks. Separated and protected bike lanes are required. It will also make the roads safer for automobile drivers. Transportation planners and elected officials need to encourage people to walk, bike and take public transportation. Healthy exercise and fossil fuels free transportation. In the future cities will be redesigned for people not cars. Crazy big parking lots will be transformed. We will witness the transition of mobility.

  35. Legacy auto dealers are a nightmare for legacy auto makers. They gouged customers trying to buy electric vehicles. Legacy auto dealers abused their customers by adding market price adjustments to gouge their customers for EVs They added pricey add ons and other costs to pump up the prices and their profits. Tesla has the right idea. Buy online. No hassle. No sitting in a show room for hours. No salesman BS. No crazy markups. No I have to see my manager BS. With Tesla you can buy a vehicle in 5 minutes or less online. The dealers have no one to blame but themselves. The dealers are dragging the legacy auto makers down with them. The problem with legacy auto makers having slow sales leads back to the legacy auto dealers. They try to talk people out of buying and EV and want to put them in a gasoline car.

  42. The stow away of the cargo shelf and the radiant heat by your knees are great features.  The glove box seems like a waste of space these days.
