  1. Most people and Wall Street are very short sighted. Wall Street looks out one quarter. Elon Musk makes 10 year plans so one quarter is just a blip. People try to buy the cheapest product without looking at the long term savings from the higher priced product. People don't insulate their homes or add solar energy or buy an energy efficient furnace or appliance because they want the bargain at the cheapest price. This is a mistake. The long term benefits of these will save you money many times over the premium you spent. You can be poor for the rest of your life by buying the cheapest product.

  2. Tesla insurance will push bad drivers to their competition.   That will cost the competition dearly with higher costs generated by bad drivers.
