  1. More people are going with no lawns in very hot states. Saves money on water and conserves water in areas that are prone to droughts. Plant a natural garden with flowers and plants for bees and birds. Lawns have little value for the environment, better than asphalt though.

  2.  @aussie2uGA  Having a garden will reduce the size of the lawn, provide vegetables for the family, and flowers will provide food for the bees. Every child should plant a tree, bush or flower with their parents. It will help connect them to nature and their environment.
