  1. The virus is endemic around the world now. It is impossible to eliminate it completely. City wide lock downs will not work. China is shutting down their economy, hurting supply chains and causing many small and medium businesses to go broke. Foreign companies and investors are now looking at other options and relocating their manufacturing. China will no longer be the manufacturer of the world. Freedom of movement and freedom of speech are under appreciated until they are taken away. The lock down of cities has changed public and business opinion of the risks of being in China. Locking citizens in their homes and apartments is not something foreign businesses and their employees will tolerate.
