People complain about high energy prices for fuel and utilities that will continue to go up every year. Get solar panels for your roof and power your AC and your electric car with free energy from the sun. Most home solar systems have a payback of 7 or 8 years. In Australia it should be even sooner. Getting a home blower door tested and air sealed is another great way to save money in the long run. Find those air leaks and seal them up. Too many people only look at the up front cost and miss out on long term savings. Thinking long term will put money in your pocket over time.

Wind and solar energy combined with battery storage are safer, cleaner and cheaper than fossil fuels. Glad to see Australia wake and realize that there is a Climate Crisis. The coral reefs are dying. Bush fires are getting worse. It is getting hotter every year. Weather events like excessive rains are now happening. Murdoch media is a fossil fuels industry puppet and spew FUD rather than objective news because its advertising dollars are from polluters and they want to keep the money rolling in.

Australia has low lying areas and cities along the coast. Climate Change and rising sea levels will make coastal properties and low lying areas impossible to sell or insure. Banks and insurance companies will not want to take the risk in the future. What will the coast look like in 30 years, the life of a mortgage when you take into account the sea level rise. People will not be able to sell coastal properties if no one can get a loan or insurance. Migration will move people away from coastal and low lying areas. Covid deniers and climate change deniers are the same. Both do not believe in science and experts. People are selfish and don't want to be bothered with restrictions. The cost to the economy and individuals will be huge.We need Climate Action NOW.
