  1. Europe and Germany in particular have been too dependent on Russia for oil and natural gas. They have known for years that they need to switch to safer, cleaner and cheaper wind and solar energy combined with battery storage. Might be time to look at landfill gas collection systems for some gas supply. The government needs to adopt some incentives for home owners and businesses to install electric heat pumps to replace gas or oil boilers and to provide incentives for all electric vehicles to reduce oil consumption.

  2.  @mart34  There are many solutions. Wind, solar, wave energy and geothermal are just a few. The sun comes up every day and the wind continues to blow. No need to store 7 days worth of energy in batteries.

  4. Individuals, financial institutions, banks, pension funds, universities and insurance companies are now divesting from fossil fuels. ESG investing is growing. It is time to stop adding more fossil fuels to the climate crisis. Fossil fuels are a bad investment for people and the planet. Fossil fuels will become stranded assets. We must stop adding more fossil fuels to the Climate Fire. All banks and financial institutions need to divest from fossil fuels. Invest in companies that value people and the planet.
