Countries need to focus on the quality of life for its citizens not the quantity of life. Businesses want a growing population because they want cheap labor with people fighting for jobs.

If you can not provide for yourself you can not provide for a child. Having a child that you can not provide for is cruel and irresponsible.

@warpony123 GDP is a bad way to measure the a country. Quality of life is a much better measurement. Endless growth is not possible on a finite planet. We want less poor people and more middle class people with good jobs, good health care and savings for retirement.
