With Tesla you can buy a vehicle in 5 minutes or less online. The dealers have no one to blame but themselves. The dealers are dragging the legacy auto makers down with them. The problem with legacy auto makers having slow sales leads back to the legacy auto dealers. They try to talk people out of buying and EV and want to put them in a gasoline car.

No extra markups, No sales person BS, No I need to talk to my manager BS. No hidden fees and extras. Dealers have been taking advantage of customers for decades. No one should feel sorry for them if they go out of business. Legacy auto dealers are hurting customers and they are hurting legacy auto makers. Their EV sales are down because everyone hate getting cheated by legacy dealers.

  5. Toyota and Honda are sleep walking into the future. They are looking to the past and projecting it forward. EV adoption is accelerating every year. Exponential not linear. The only limiting factor is batteries. The number of electric vehicles and types of vehicles and trucks is growing. Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs and amazing technology. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. PHEVs still have a gasoline engine polluting the environment. Toyota and Honda will be late to the party. It will cost them market share, market value and future customers. There is a Climate Crisis. Young people will not buy petrol and diesel vehicles that add to the Climate Crisis. Toyota needs to learn a lesson from Nokia or Kodak. They will continue to lose market share until they do or they will go bankrupt. They are starting at the top but there is a long way down.
