Wind and solar energy are safer, cleaner and cheaper than fossil fuels or nuclear energy. Remember Fukishima and Chernobyl. The clean up and waste storage costs will go on FOREVER.

@billwang8502 So how many billions did the dome over the Chernobyl reactor cost and how long will it last before having to be rebuilt ? Facts matter. The site is not cleaned up, it is covered over and will have to be covered FOREVER. Wind and solar are a much safer way to generate electricity and it is much cheaper. Nuclear energy is too costly and too dangerous. A waste of money.

@billwang8502 The running costs from wind and solar are zero. The sun comes up every day and the wind blows. These generate free power every month. They do not have to be surrounded and protected by security guards 24 / 7. The monthly costs of running a nuclear power plant are huge. Wind and solar are just better. They are cheaper and safer and no worries about storing waste for thousands of years. Nuclear power plants would never be built without huge subsidies from governments and the limited liability governments provide them. No insurance company would touch them without government caps on payouts. Nuclear energy is being promoted by companies and investors that have money to gain or loose from their development. It is time for them to go away.
