Economists and investment companies are looking to the past and projecting it forward. In the past China's economy grew every year at a substantial rate. This is the past. The economy has fundamentally changed. Xi and the CCP have move the economy away from market policies over the past few years. They have moved to a planned economy with inefficient state owned enterprises making up a larger part of the economy. Foreign corporations are moving manufacturing to less risky countries. The property sector is a PONZI scheme built on debt. They can continue to throw money at empty buildings and empty cities but it will all collapse. The GDP has been an illusion based on debt. There is just too much corruption in China. You can not believe any statistics coming from corporations or governments.
