  1. The virus is endemic around the world. It can not be suppressed. Closing down every city will bankrupt small businesses and add to the already high unemployment levels. The supply chains are broken. Closing down will encourage more people, companies and investors to leave China. Property developers are going bankrupt hurting employees, suppliers, local governments, bond holders and customers. This will ripple through out the whole economy.
