Reminds me of one I had who said No amont of political fanaticism can change the fact years of lead lay ahead. This was back in 2015 before even the battle of berkeley. I laughed him off then Later I asked how did you guess he simply said it was coming up on the 50th anniversary of the year that shook america and around every 20 or 70 theres something that involved lead flying.

@alcostello6114 hmm Why do you think it would work now? It was made for a early stage industrial society were not only in a late stage industrial now but after DEINDUSTRIALIZATION you expect it to work? Not to say some variation couldnt but dude DROP MARX hes from another era and his ideas were built for said era your going to have to adapt it to modern times.

@nedisahonkey social democracy is not democratic socialism pretty big diffrence. Social democracy is a heavily regulated Capitalist system Cough cough "socialist" countries like Denmark or the Swiss have some of the largest companies in the world like Lego or Nestle. Only diffrence from them and american companies like Google or Space X the gouvernment pays workers a ton and takes a ton away in taxes of and force companies for much better working conditions. Btw I actually support a system alot of social democratic stuff BUT DONT CALL IT SOCIALISM.

@nedisahonkey okay fair enough it Did it come from socialism yes but capitalism came from feudalism and you cant say those are the same thing. What Im trying to say is social democracy lost core functions of socialist ecconomics such as that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned by the community as a whole. If it would be actual socialism Nestle would have its means of production shared rather than controled by a few higher ups at the company. If you want to call it a evolution of socialism Fine they were the same thing before WW1 but dont call it socialism its not but it does have many elements of it its exchanged core parts of a socialist ecconomy to better accommodate capitalism so if anything I would call it a hybrid of the 2.

Food pyramid Yep as if people havent adapted to eating diffrent diets a universal diet is as big a lie as we can prevent all conflict.

Also communism brand name has a really bad rap it would be alot easier to make a new ideology heavily influenced from communism and give it a new name.

@nedisahonkey yeah fair enough plus it seems to be becoming more and more streched as time goes on I tend to view it in the most focused lens I can. Aparently now its so wide to cover everything from arguably modern Vietnam to Arguably modern Canada and those have VERY LITTLE IN COMMON in terms of ecconomic regulations. I try to get as stable a definition I can which means I end up pissing everone off because I think there pushing the definition to far.

@cheezoncrack1 the middle east stuff you bring up would be regional more than likley same thing goes with india pakistan or hell even US and Russia I doubt peru would get hit. Inevitable doesnt mean it would happen like in the movies more than likley entire cities will be missed or the nuke would get shot down over it instead of impacting it.
2
@cheezoncrack1 global impacts Im aware stuff like the price of oil would soar or price of global labor would go up. But still its unlikley for it to result in New Zeland Getting wiped off the map. Plus unless it started as a neuclear war the use of nukes would ground the conflict to a halt due to both sides taking so many casualties at a impact zone.
2
@cheezoncrack1 global famines Okay probably not global but in areas allready struggling for food fair enough global cancer rate spikes okay also fair But a few BILLION DEATHS thats hyperbolic. For europe it would probably be like what happened to coastal china and Vladivostok after Hiroshima and Nagasaki so not exsactly the end of the world. neither side has anything past fission bombs so no hydrogen bombs. India and pakistan at most I can see 1.4 billion deaths including the initial ones due to fallout hitting the chinese coast and persian gulf.

@nedisahonkey fair enough Still it was a idea built for early stage industrial societys. It would need to be updated to a post industrial society And thats not a small change.

@nedisahonkey I was talking about marxism as a hole not just leninism. Although those condtions were closest to the early stage industrial society marx lived in. And Cuba and the USSR never made it to a post industrial society and neither has modern russia China is getting to the point of it today. Which uh Most people would not call communist. If you want to see the conditions Im talking about when I say marxism was made for look no further than modern india or some parts of ethiopia. But I wouldnt be surprised if there is some variation of socialism made for post industrial societys.

@splumpy8469 yeah I know Thats part of the reason I said the definition is stretched. Denmark has the biggest toy company in the world Lego and people call it socialist Land of the Swiss has one of the most corrupt companies in the world nestle and same thing. Canada has a Mapple syrup ologarchy and I had to call that "socialist" to prevent a argument with someone which not something I want.

Not going to last Once we feel safe enough with missile defence then it would be back to before. Oh also if one power is so strong it would be stupid to start a war would have that same effect on a smaller scale
