  1. They found the body of the first guy a few hundred feet below the summit several years ago. Unless he left a message or items on top there will never be any proof he made it.

  2.  @vast634  Unlikely given the time period it was roll type film no point in leaving undeveloped film. Maybe one day someone will find a can or something with a note it would be great if they did. A truly heroic effort with bare minimum of equipment.
