  1. Russian military units were using a variety of rifles most were still using 7.62 x 39. Units could buy their own weapons. Theirs is designed to punch through body armour. America just left Afghanistan where 7.62 x 51 was called to action it no longer needs it. The AR15 is still killing troops through failures 60 years after its TEMOPRARY introduction
