Almost every Russian aircraft is designed to operate from DIRT runways if necessary even their largest types can do it, their doctrine said most runways would be attacked and unusable. US and NATO unless they have a pristine runway they have nowhere to land both tyre's and undercarriage are unsuitable.

@MrRusty-fm4gb Actually it is Russia uses large low pressure tyres on most of its aircraft. There was a recent officual clip showing a large Cargo aircraft taking off and landing on frozen grass. They decided decades ago if war broke out mist Runways could potentially be rendered useless in days. The Mig 29 and other types have closeable intake doors with vents above with mud guards on the nose wheel. You can look these up if you like. America and its allies need runways. Russia's aircraft gave taken off on compacted sand.
