  1. The big difference here is that when many of these towns, cities etc were built, the main focus was on the skills of the builders, the design etc. How it blended into the environment. Where as now everything is driven by pure greed. Build it quick, build it cheap (NOT for the buyer of course). No regard for architecture, or skills, or how it blends with the environment. Pretty sad.
