  1. Britain has a much older history which is reflected in it's buildings. It is also a much smaller space. I always find it humorous when people talk about the Sun as if everyone has a "different" Sun. It is the same no matter where you are on Earth. It is angle, the length of day night cycles and ambient temperature. It is hotter in Australia, not because of the Sun directly, but the ambient temperature. Heat builds in the centre of the country towards Summer and depending on low pressure areas off the East coast and South can travel East towards Sydney or South towards Adelaide. Obviously when you have a high ambient temperature to start with the addition of the Suns heat which is the same it always is, will get higher. The Sun also goes through cycles of radiation intensity which will cause more or less heat.
