Seriously 33 degrees is not that hot. It is high humidity that makes it uncomfortable. In Sydney apart from a couple of days in the mid thirties, it has been wet and mild. The climate morons are always exaggerating. No, 2023 is not the hottest year. People are believing the BS and lies. When I was a kid we had hotter Summers than the last four years. The way Summer tends to work is that you get a hot pool of air in the centre of Australia. If Sydney gets low pressure systems off the east coast in Summer that heat is pulled towards Sydney. If you get low pressure systems down south the heat is pulled towards Adelaide. Last year there was a volcanic eruption in Tonga and it is still affecting the weather in Australia. It is causing a lot of easterlies from the ocean and blocking the heat from the west so Sydney is staying fairly mild. Nothing to do with "climate change", "global warming", or "global boiling", whatever the uneducated imbecilkes are calling it.
