Australia has more in common with the U.S., so that isn't surprising. Unfortunately we have very greed driven, very corrupt, moronic Governments. They care more about themselves and corporations making bigger and bigger profits, than Australians or the country. That is why the cost of living is so high. Believe me we want to rid if these scum, but the system is rigged to keep them there. This is what destroyed our car industry and many other industries in Australia.
