In Australia we have monumental idiots, mostly the government who try and compare Australia to Europe. Obviously because of the tiny size of some of those countries, stuff like EV's and small engined cars may make some sense. You can't however compare that to Australia which is many times larger. Several of these countries could fit into one of our states. No doubt similar with the U.S. We have the same problem in Australia, the idiot government honours certain licences from other countries, countries that have atrocious driving standards. They don't have to do any testing here, they can just jump in a car and start driving. Driving like they did in their country. To make it worse driving tests can be taken in "foreign" languages. The street signs, like "workers ahead" are in English, so if you can't understand English. The stupidity of governments and their departments who basically are sh$t scared to be called "racist" for suggesting people understand our freaking language is unbelievable. No doubt it has cost lives.
