This is a problem throughout the world. If people were paid based on their "importance" to society things would be so much fairer. Unfortunately people are paid based on greed. What someone thinks they should be paid based on what it will get THEM. For example sports people who are grossly overpaid for what they do. Their value to society is zero. The world would function with or without them. They are paid insane amounts of money because it benefits someone else, not because it is what they are worth. Same with actors etc. In Australia I just heard about a horrible woman who was on a half hour program on television and was being paid 1.7 million a year. There is no way that can be justified. It was only because someone else thought they would benefit from it. May I add that this network isn't exactly flush with money. Always complaining about the cost of programs. So how in hell is this woman getting this ridiculous sum unless it is benefiting someone else, certainly not the network. When it comes to people who actually run the world, like Teachers, Factory workers, Nurses, Paramedics, Firefighters etc. These greedy mongrels don't gain anything for themselves by paying a decent wage. Someone kicks a ball and has millions thrown at them without asking. Someone saves lives or teaches someone how to read and count and can barely feed their family and they have to beg for more and probably be told they are being greedy. It is a sick world we live in.
