  1. Obviously this practice must be made ILLEGAL. Then at the very least owners can sue the Motherboard manufacturer. There is no justifiable reason for this. It should be up to the owner to increase these settings if they want to. This is like the Microsoft syndrome, where Microsoft believes they own all of your hardware and can do what they like just because you are running a Windows OS. Clearly one lesson here is NOT to buy ASUS Motherboards.
