  2. very enlightening, as always... but am i the only one feeling strange when guys living in a completely different time period are referred to as "we", just because they happened to be part of the same nation state as i am now? What is it that makes me identify so much with my nation state, compared to home town or continent? Does it really make sense to be proud of my nationality more than of my hair color or shoe size? In the context of this video, i can surely see victory against Hitler Germany is something one likes to be connected to... but when talking about colonialism, is it still "we" then?
