  1. i like this version of the riddle better: In a monastry, there are 24 monks living under a vow of silence and with no reflective surfaces around. Each day, they meet once for meal. One day, their abbot comes, giving bad news in a speech during the meal: "I see at least one of you having a red dot above your eyes, which is the presign of a bad illness. These monks have to leave. I trust you as excellent logicians finding out yourselves if you are marked." Eight days afterwards, eight monks leave.
