As much as I'd like to support your optimism, i'm not even sure we won't die from cancer any more... that presumes that AI's benefits will not only be for some super rich Elons, but also trickle down to us. Depends on the structure of future society, won't it?

@DaveShap what does that even mean? There seems hardly anything to do than passively watch by the sidelines, but i hope we will at least have a say in how our future society should look like and prepare by discussing it now.

@stephenjamison7195 though i think we don't have to say a lot right now (also in "democratic" countries), i still hope you're right! With AI there will probably be even more possibilities for controlling the masses.

@ausden_prowler yes, Denmark is one of the best countries in that respect! Just, AGI is probably going to be developed in the US, which is a whole different story. Don't want to sound pessimistic, but we need to stay vigilant about the possibility that the first company/state developing AGI will keep it for itself to subdue all others.
