I've been a life long republican since 1968,Democrats then we're abusing powers,drug us into Vietnam with no understanding of what Mao was plotting against our military once Johnson openly lies to Americans about the Gulf of Tonkin incident,and the CIA was operating spy ships in those waters,the disinformation stems from the CIA's culture of deceit,in July two American destroyers,the Maddox ,and the Turner joy patrolling in these waters claimed to be under attack by North Vietnamese torpedo boats,the next day,Turner Joy fired on ships supposedly on their radar and we're not,and the Maddox detected on its sonar equipment images not detected by the Turner Joy,after all this supposedly happens both commanders conceded that nervous sonar and radar men combined with unusual weather was responsible for the false sighting reports,BUT, Johnson knew these attacks were false called on Congress to pass the Gulf of Tonkin resolution allowing Johnson to plunge head on into Mao''s biggest military trap,since the once mighty Chinese military's Waterloo moment centuries ago when China's military invaded a little known area called Vietnam,the mountain yard men repelled and demoralized the the great Chinese military to the point where Chinese soldiers began deserting and questioning their mission totally destroying China's military's psychology collapsing China's hold on world power.
