  1. Reminder. The Constitution PROHIBITS the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates coming from the SAME STATE. Both Trump and Desantis are Citizens of Florida now. So it’s a No Go move. However, a Desantis versus Newsome fight in 2028 would be Wonderful! I’d buy that for a Dollar!

  2.  @JM-vp8zc  Article 2, Section 1 and the 12th Amendment. “The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by Ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall NOT be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves.” So when the Florida Electors meet and Vote, either Trump or Desantis must NOT be a Floridian. Or else both of them would be “an Inhabitant of the same State as themselves”, the Electors. Trump became a Florida Citizen years ago (and Voted for Himself in 2020), and Desantis of course is Governor, which makes him a Citizen. Or “Inhabitant”. Or else they’d have to throw out Florida’s Electoral Votes because Florida voted for two people from the same state. Hope this clarifies things.
