  1. Styx...give up on solar. It has a theoretical quantum limit at 33%, that's if it operated perfect it would be 33% efficient. We're at 17% ish, and that number hasn't budged in decades for a good reason, the increase in efficiency comes at a decrease in usable area/material which is an overall loss. Solar has many many many issues with it, and is not a one size fits all solution. I got my master's (almost PhD but my lab dissolved) working on solar, its easy to say "oh but that solar cell they had that got 60% efficiency we could make a million of those" when you don't understand they made hundreds if not thousands of rare earth mineral cells before that, all the exact same way and they cherry picked their data, not only that it was actually 3-5 solar cells all hooked up together each getting part of the spectrum all at 17% and they just add it together to get their high values, when in reality, it's still 17%. There is no one green solution...except nuclear, and i say that as someone who still makes lots of money on selling solar to people who don't understand it.

  2. Conservation is a cause we can all get behind. Those crying climate change are banking on the massive overhaul of society not actually happening so their theory will never be tested and they can play "we should have listen!" They can never be wrong because they just change their premise when they're wrong
