  3. She wasn’t ready for prime time. The nervous laugh is a dead give away. She was an absentee because she is not a good public speaker. When she debated Pence she couldn’t move away from the moderator questions at all and any pushback the moderator stepped in. She has been just as protected as Biden, and picked a more unlikely VP so she could be the friendly one.

  4. This is a peak - way too early in the campaign. She’s been able to sustain being in the headlines for 17 days, but two months is a different beast. Dems did good shutting down the Trump attempt by tossing Joe just because it removed him from the headlines. Getting Harris out of the headlines won’t need anything very drastic.

  6. Good. I would hope she would have one well attended campaign. That was a big one, announcing your VP is a high point. Now if those people weren’t all journalists, and keep coming to other events you can say she has support.

  7. They do need to be specific on what the abortion debate is rather than “post birth abortion”. The Born Alive bill was very popular, they need to specify if a baby is born after an abortion, which happens about 5 times a year they are left to die a slow painful death when they could survive with any intervention. By comparison health of the mother in a civilized country is about one every few years (the women that they’ve brought forward as examples wanted preemptive abortions afraid it may hurt the mothers ability to have kids in the future).

  8. I saw about 10 min of local news yesterday in the docs office, I’m in a deep red state and all the news was about Kamala, Walz and Clarence Thomas. Not one bad word about Kamala and Walz, a passing reference to how bad Trump and Vance are in comparison (saying they were stalking their campaign sites and drawing people away from Harris campaigns) and how evil CT is for riding on someone’s plane 15 years ago.

  9. They like to drag out his accomplishments but the most acceptable ones (free college tuition for low income families) was essentially in place long before Walz. PSEO in Minnesota allowed for high school jr and sr who were in the top 50% of their class to get their associates while in high school (you could be up to 21 though so as long as you didn’t graduate you qualified). Everything was paid for but the teachers unions hated it because it transferred funding from the schools to colleges (and was far cheaper for the state).

It’s not a positive term, it’s like trying to reclaim the word ho*ker, it doesn’t make you look professional coming up with your own nickname, especially one that’s more used to desceibed over privilege tantrum throwing 6 year olds who destroy things when they don’t get what they want. Or an expensive brain dead overpriced doll that will end up destroyed by a child I a week and is best left on the shelf.

  11. Trump should own the term weird. He said it during his acceptance speech that he doesn’t care your skin color, gender, sexual orientation on that you’re American now. If being that accepting is weird he’s proud to be weird. The left has really played up now Trump excludes people, he needs to make it clear that he’s not the one having rally’s just for white men to tell them what they want to hear, he’s having rallies for everyone because his policies affect everyone.
