  3. He had the dream team of lawyers that out classed the DA and young assistant DA. Usually the state has the upper hand but money can buy you the greats. Seriously his team was about as stacked as it came.

  4. The forensics done in OJ changed the field forever. What they did went from the norm (people barely knew what DNA was) to the worst possible example of evidence handling. If you were on the jury you likely wouldn’t have known the difference at the time. It was the race riots not the forensics that did it in the case.

  5. You know Rodney King didn’t die right? For taking the beating he did he ended up walking away pretty unscathed which is probably what saved the cops. Being a black belt myself it probably wouldn’t have made a difference going up against a former running back you’re going to have a difficult time. Jason had a bunch of witnesses putting him at work during the murder which is why he was never investigated seriously.

  6. No one knew what to do with DNA evidence on either side. The jury probably wrote it off as witchcraft. A jury from even 5 years later probably would have convicted.

  9. That’s really misrepresenting it. The detectives were more star struck than anything, they didn’t want to bring charges at first because it was OJ and they didn’t think he could be guilty. The DNA evidence was just overwhelming and the DA didn’t care who he was. Jason has a lot of witnesses putting him at work across town at the time of the murder. The hat and gloves probably were Jason’s but it was more than likely OJ using his son as a scapegoat.

  10. That’s not even a hot take. The defense and prosecution went through jurors and it was a manipulation game of who sat on the final jury. It’s been talked about by both sides. The defense won.

  12. They do happen relatively often however most you don’t see because they reside in the “grey” areas and aren’t televised. Unfortunately many that are seen aren’t quite what the media portray them as and many guilty also go free because of if.
