  5. 2000 has been analyzed to death, Gore lost by a significant margin. They had to toss a bunch of legitimate votes (notably the military mail-in ballots) to get Gore even close, but even with all contested ballots being given to Gore he still lost by a few thousand votes, which is why eventually they called it. He had no way forward to contest any more. If only you’d paid attention to independent media or didn’t think the Daily Show actually reported anything truthfully.

  6. 2004 it was to close to call, despite it really not being close at all, but 2008 was an obvious victory for Obama when the polls were literally to close to call the day before the election that South Park had to make two episodes for the two possibilities. Obama won handily once the polls came in, but there was a lot of honking in that election, least of which was that it was called before most states had closed their polls.

  7. He had won Florida by quite a bit, but they tossed all the overseas ballots because they said they were invalid. If those were included like they should have been it wouldn’t have been a swing state. Taking everything in Gores favor - he still lost by a few thousand votes.
