  1. It’s hardest on the kids. I had a friend whose wife left (drug addiction and lots of other problems) and didn’t want custody of the kids. We baby sat them a lot at the time and the 5 year old had a hard time of it. She kept asking about her mom. Now she’s 15 and has decided she’s a boy. 😢 Luckily they had 1 year olds too who don’t even remember their mom, and the 9 year old was old enough to get what was going on and was glad her mom was gone.
