The issue is he was in the middle of discussions with NARA to return the docs they requested. Most of which they didn’t have any right to demand but he was still in the process. Then they raided him for not complying - but he had complied with all the requests they had made a couple months before. He had until 2023 to return the documents, they wanted them early for whatever reason. This is them trying to change the rules in the middle of the game. Every President does this song and dance because they aren’t the ones packing the boxes on move out day so they don’t always know what’s grabbed. That’s why there is a grace period to get through the documents. They also over reached in the initial search for what they could legally take - claiming Melania had dresses that were personal gifts from other world leaders that should not have been taken. For god sake Bill and a Hillary stole the white house China and a bunch of original Jefferson docs and no one bothered looking for them until their house flooded.

I believe it was 3, he was still within the return period but it was rushed because they “thought he wouldn’t return them” or something.

Those sound like him making sure they didnt get altered imo. Easily something that could “go missing” if they wanted to claim he was a war monger.

Funny how nothing happened to Bill when he let a bunch of national archive docs from Jefferson get flooded in his basement. No one noticed those were gone for a few years.

Except people get convicted in no body murder cases all the time. In fact there have been no body and enough blood for a bloody nose cases that have led to convictions.
