  1.  @matthewmchenry2889 then they should favor household rather than “family”. If you’re living with people who are not biologically related to you that should be your household.

  2. Extended family is typically those who do not live together. A cousin for instance is an extended family member. Same with grandparents. Many live with extended family members but they are part of your extended family whether or not they live under the same roof.

  3. What if you have someone else (like a step dad or family friend) who lives with you. Isn’t “family member” insulting to that person?
