I was lucky my lefty polysci teacher straight away called socialism only a means to an end of communism (back in 08) - and communism was bound to fail due to human nature despite it looking good on paper. He was also encouraging of my libertarian leanings because i seemed to be the only one in the class thinking and examining the concepts at all.
